Can my employer read my AI prompts with Shield?
No. Shield never collects prompts, pasted text, file contents, or the sensitive values themselves — it records which AI services were used, the type of action, and its outcome. Detection of sensitive data happens locally on your device; only category labels ever leave it. Details
Is anything collected without my consent?
No. Self-installed, Shield collects nothing until you choose Allow monitoring. In managed deployments your organization can enforce monitoring as the data controller — the toggle then shows as locked, and the same no-content guarantees apply. Details
Which AI tools does Shield cover?

Does Shield work in Incognito windows?

Why is a policy not blocking anything?
Usually the tab just needs a reload — protection attaches on page load. Also check the policy is Active and its mode isn't observe-only. The full checklist
Do I need to build policies from scratch?
No. Every new organization starts with six active starter policies, and the preset library ships framework bundles for the EU AI Act, GDPR, DIFC Regulation 10, Korea's AI Basic Act, US AI in Employment, and ISO 42001/NIST. Apply presets
Who can see individual employees' usage?
That is a privacy setting your organization controls. Aggregate counts are always available; person-level visibility is a deliberate opt-in, and employees are informed before any collection. Privacy controls
