Invite your team

Updated July 5, 2026·1 min readAll plans

There are two ways people join your organization: you invite them, or — with a verified domain — they sign up with their work email and join per your domain's join mode.

Send an invitation

  1. Open Users & Roles and select Invite user.
  2. Enter the email address and pick a role.
  3. Select Create invitation. Shield emails the invitation; if delivery fails, you get a link to share manually.

The invited person sets their name and password on first sign-in and lands directly in your organization.

Track invitations and requests

Users & Roles has three tabs: Members, Open invitations, and Requests. Open invitations show their status (Pending, Accepted, Expired) with Resend invitation and Revoke invitation actions — and an expiry date, so stale invites don't linger.

Joining via your domain

Once your domain is verified, sign-ups from that domain follow your join mode: join automatically as a member, land in the Requests tab for your approval (the default), or require an explicit invitation. People with a pending request are notified by email once you approve them.

Note: admin seats are plan-limited (Starter 1, Business 5, Enterprise unlimited). Inviting another admin beyond the limit is blocked with a clear message — regular members are not affected by this limit.
